Central London Outdoor Group (CLOG) walk from Gomshall to Chilworth.
You smell them before you see them, so they light be the easiest wild flower to track down, but I was happy that my mission to get some nice shots of wild garlic over the Easter weekend worked out great — here’s a close look at one flower head in Carton House near Maynooth.

Another shot from my early morning foray around the Brock Valley. I had hoped the bluebells were in full display, but they were rather sparse this year compared with last!
As I was walking around I spotted that the Wild Garlic was quite advanced in this little tributary leading down to the Brock. The early morning light brought the scene to life and the aroma of the woodland was a fabulous tonic.
11/4/2025 A beautiful walk in Spring sunshine around , Flitwick Wood on the hard paved path. The bluebells were rather sparse but the wild garlic was everywhere but not quite in flower. I saw two butterflies , a Peacock that posed and an Orange Tip that didn't. The wood was alive with bird song and at one spot there was some lovely Cherry blossom high in the canopy.
