As we know by now, the new charger sets will eventually take over all of the F40s and P42s on the Windsor to Quebec corridor, but that isn't the only thing in this picture that is might be going away. Rumours were that the Detroit Renaissance centre may be demolished or at least part of its offices due to General Motors removing its HQ to another location in the city. But as with many things, things can change. Due to mechanical issues with the Siemens sets, they have been almost no venture sets between Toronto and Windsor last few weeks and the word of keeping most of the Renaissance centre intact as sort of a "public asset that Detroiters deserve". Well I certainly am not from Detroit, but I certainly do view it as a central part of the Detroit-Windsor waterfront, and it wont be the same without it. Time will tell what happens, and i have defiantly learned, at least when it comes to trains, to not take things for granted!
