From an extended winter hike in early February 2025. This picture had to be taken in a hurry because the sun quickly put an end to the frost.

Three weeks ago, just minutes from home before sunrise.
The predicted fog wasn't there, but instead there was a wide view of the valley and a golden morning sky.

Kalter sonniger Januarmorgen an aussichtsreicher Stelle in der Heimat.

On an atmospheric December morning just before sunrise above the vineyards of the town of Wittlich. I regularly get my wine supplies from the vineyard in the picture (Pinot Noir). Not only is the wine great, the location is perfect for lots of photo opportunities in all seasons.

An einem stimmungsvollen Dezembermorgen kurz vor Sonnenaufgang oberhalb der Weinberge der Stadt Wittlich. Aus der Weinlage im Bild (Spätburgunder) beziehe ich regelmäßig meine Weinvorräte. Nicht nur der Wein ist toll, die Location ist perfekt für viele Fotomöglichkeiten zu allen Jahreszeiten.

Golden morning light at the moment of sunrise behind the wooded hill... the field with the straw rolls still in the shade and, as is often the case, a little ground fog.

Goldenes Morgenlicht im Moment des Sonnenaufgangs hinter dem bewaldeten Hügel...das Feld mit den Strohrollen noch im Schatten und wie so oft ein wenig Bodennebel.

In my opinion, such pictures are timeless. Nevertheless, every morning that I spent in this scenic spot was different and more or less beautiful.
