Another hiking challenge before we head to Patagonia - this week it was Briones Regional Park, about 30 minutes drive north east from Oakland.
It was a beautiful park, where cattles roam around freely (they are really walking around the paths you walk around), scenic farm like views, stunning panorama views from east to west (Pleasant Hill, Pacheco, Concord, Walnut Creek, Martinez, Benicia, Vallejo, all these northern cities of the East Bay were in our view!)
So far it was definitely one of our favorite parks in the east bay. We will certainly go back again after our Patagonia trip. The fog rolling down from the west, perhaps over hills of Berkeley was just breathtaking with the sunset. We benefitted from the time change that happened on this day!

It's been so long since I went to bowl.
It was for my wife's birthday to go to Albany Bowl, north from where we live but still within San Francisco Bay Area. The racial diversity was extremely high amongst any bowling alley I've been to in the world... And nice people, lots of smiles, I really did enjoy it after all.

Right before our wedding, we had a day to go around San Francisco Bay Area for some sight seeing since the wedding preparation was quite close to being done. M's dad drove us around in the rented large car to show around the town of San Francisco to my parents coming from Japan. One wonderful day right before the wedding for bonding!

Lombard Street, San Francisco, California USA
The famous Lombard Street, so-called "the most crooked street in the world" is located in the North Beach district of San Francisco.
Of course, no Photoshop etc in this photo.
A night photoshoot with my father-in-law (thank you!) in San Francisco.
We setup tripods in a few locations that night and we took long exposure shots.

One of our short road trip from Northern California.
San Luis Obispo in my opinion is totally underrated - when people talk about California wine, they always know Napa, sometimes Sonoma, and often that's it. However there are way more wine regions in California, like this San Luis Obispo. Also close to winery towns like Paso Robles. However I must say, San Luis Obispo is one of my favorites in entire California State.

The view of Mt. Shasta from north, near Grass Lake.
Every time I see this mountain, I just feel "wow"... What a great mountain, it always makes me think of Mt. Fuji from Japan because of its snow-cap on the top. I love the area of Shasta too, where you can see so many waterfalls and hiking trails.
