The Eucalyptus pauciflora, commonly known as snow gum, cabbage gum or white sally, grows at altitudes from 700m to above 1500m in the Australian Alps. The higher they grow, the more bent and twisted they become.

These shots are taken with my Olympus TG-6 camera which I was able to carry in a breast pocket.

A Breughel comes to Bryant Park, Manhattan? Accessed from (only just) W 42nd Street.
(Stayed in an E 42nd St hotel, and the street became part of a regular evening beat.)
Most of the frame is either white, near black, or green, yet somehow the tiny splashes of other vivid hues seem to create an overall impression of colourful brilliancy (as it came across at the time). The lens flare doesn’t hurt either...
