A poor photo, but an interesting subject.
The Department of Naval Architecture and Shipbuilding at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne (from which I graduated) has a long, busy history, and a small but excellent set of ship models, tucked away in the Armstrong Building.

She spent time in the Royal Navy in 1918 and was returned to Russia in 1921, becoming 'Krasin' in 1928. Up to the beginning of the 1950s she remained the most powerful icebreaker in the world.
Amazingly she is still afloat, in much-modified form, as a museum ship in St Petersburg.
