La veu que hi parla és la del jardiner d’una casa rica d’estiueig que observa la vida que l’envolta: la del jardí i la dels amos de la casa, amb els amics de cada any, les festes extravagants, el servei podrit de xafarderies, els animals més o menys domèstics que els entretenen i uns nous veïns que remouran el passat i posaran en marxa tot un drama sentimental.

UNA MOBILITZACIÓ DE PAÍS

L’Assemblea, Òmnium Cultural, l’AMI, el Consell de la República, la Intersindical, el Ciemen i els CDR s’uneixen per impulsar la gran mobilització de la Diada d’enguany. Una tarda de cine al cel, farcit de núvols fantasmagòrics.

Catalunya té una tradició de fixar-se en els núvols que ve de lluny.
A principis del segle XX, Rafael Patxot i Eduard Fontserè van començar un treball d’observació molt intens que va desembocar en el primer atles català sobre aquesta matèria. Amb dues càmeres separades per 400 metres feien fotos simultàniament al cel; havien construït una base fotogramètrica per estudiar detalls dels núvols, com ara l’altura.
Aviat van acumular una col·lecció de dades i clixés que van desembocar en l’ Atles elemental de núvols, que es va publicar el 1925 i que va tenir transcendència: la feina de Patxot i Fontserè va tenir molta incidència en un atles internacional de núvols que es publicaria poc després.
Amb tot, la guerra va posar un final penós i taxatiu a tot aquell treball.
