The balconies are rather like advent calendar windows, you're never sure what each will show.

In the rush hours, this road is solid traffic.

Parked outside were a 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander, a 2014 Ford Taurus, and a 2024 Toyota Rav4 Hybrid. All of them were mine at the time, but I have since sold the Outlander.

It's an impressive building but after 55 years I'd expect that its immediate surroundings would be a bit more dressed up.
Funfact: The small commercial building in the foreground was built in 1961.

Here were the Watterson Towers, a residence hall at Illinois State University, said by the university to have "opened in 1968," and said by Wikipedia to have been "completed in 1969," and said by various online sources to have been "completed in 1968" or "opened in 1969."
According to an October 1968 article in the student newspaper, the first five floors were opened to 220 students in the fall of that year, while the remainder of the building continued to be built. According to a December 1969 article in the same newspaper, the "North Tower was due to be finished in September of 1968 and was just completed, and the South Tower was scheduled to completed in September of 1969 but is still not done." So it's possible it wasn't technically "completed in 1969," but I haven't seen any online sources asserting it was "completed in 1970."

The previous operator of the route suddenly ceased operation on Friday 02.08.24. Here we see Arriva operating Route 217 from Tottenham Garage, with only hastily taped route numbers attached the following day.
Such as it is. There are very few shops of variety and the last bank in the road has given notice it's closing. There are a few small supermarkets, cafes and estate agents - plus the many take-aways. The scene looks very different from the 1970s and by the 2040s, I wouldn't be surprised if the shops were mainly converted to residential use. This is already happening in the Borough.

The real challenge is taking a street scene where no one is using a mobile phone. I failed at least three times here!
