Signalhuset, is a dormitory apartment complex, designed by Nobel Architects, located in Ørestad, Denmark, near Copenhagen. The building facades are composed of an external transparent screen of galvanised stretch metal frames. Like a metal veil it adds layered subtlety that combines beautifully with the colored walls behind. Of course this eye-catching exterior caught my attention and I spent some extra time waiting for the light to become more bright. And then I got lucky with a visitor on one of the floors. For a brief instance he noticed me as well and my camera captured the moment in the sunlight.
Ørestad Plejecenter is a building complex for senior housing near Copenhagen, Denmark, designed by JJW Arkitekter. The box shaped balconies seem to in different states of development, originating out of the smaller square windows that are placed on the same grid. The different shapes and sizes result in a dynamic and organic surface that makes me think of a cubist garden. In this composition the predominant colour is a very bright yellow which contrasts beautifully with the reflected blue sky. It reminds me of the beautiful summer day of my visit to Copenhagen.

The facade of this composition painted in a tender light green color, which to me stands for Spring.
