I suppose a good way to make the fleet look more modern than it actually was, was to buy half-cab models in full-front form, and here is another one - MUP 641 was a 1952 Leyland Tiger PS2 with Burlingham body, initially new to Wilkinson of Sedgefield, but which had other owners prior to joining Hulley's in 1962. It was operated until 1966, but remained here for at least a couple more years.

Manning Wardle Works No. 641 steam locomotive No. 4 ‘Sharpthorn’ was built in 1877 and awaits restoration at the Bluebell heritage railway. This typical Victorian contractors’ loco was owned by Joseph Firbank, the contractor who built the Lewes and East Grinstead Railway, of which the Bluebell is a part.
Last operational in 1958, this 0-6-0ST saddle tank engine is stabled at Horsted Keynes station and is seen during the Bluebell Railway’s Branch Line Gala on 16 March 2025.
Fleet number 641 was seen picking up outside the Royal Hospital for Children and Young People at Little France Crescent in the Edinburgh BioQuarter. The bus is working route 49 from the adjacent Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh to the Fort Kinnaird retail park. Although the latter is physically very near, the route operates via the city centre, Leith and Portobello to maximise direct links for bus passengers to either the hospitals or the retail park. Construction of RHCYP began in 2015 but it did not open until 2021.
