Michael, everyone. Michael, Michael, Michael. He even manages it on the other side of the planet- he just finds an unlocked door. I’ve not managed to be that lucky even once, but him?! He’s got the magic touch!
As always, I had the stupid idea of taking photographs in a block of flats, something I wouldn’t even really do in the UK. I was extremely nervous as we walked up to the front door of one of the three tube-like blocks. As we got to the door, I knew we were out of luck- locked with a keypad. There was no way we’d be able to get in.
And then Michael tried the door and it opened. How does he do it?
Well aware of the cameras that were already capturing us, we dived into the nearest lift and took it right to the top. Literally tiptoeing, we made our way across to this central area. I know plenty of people have been here to take photographs before, but I was aiming to cause zero upset and leave without anyone knowing I’d invaded the space.
The faint sound of a radio or TV echoed from another floor as the darkness of the night sky loomed above.

I know, I know. Hong Kong, again! I’m not wealthy- I just keep spending all my money on going there. I don’t think they say ‘Fourth Times the Charm’ but this trip was just that - a success. For almost the entire time I kept my mental health issues at bay. It was a good trip. After three disasters - It is really nice to say that.
We hadn’t really spent much time in North Point on our previous trips, so it was nice to have a little wander. It’s not the most interesting area and annoyingly, the nice bit on the waterfront was closed off for construction.
I’m a sucker for any kind of raised position though and a pedestrian walkway gave me a great viewpoint down King’s Road. A few cars drove beneath us as a ding ding went past. They’re such sweet vehicles.
