Here is a shot of a small copper (Lycaena phlaeas) on a tansy (Tanacetum vulgare) in Åva-Stensjödal in Tyresta National Park.
Center stage, however, is a click beetle, Elateridae sp. who decided to photobomb my butterfly shot.

A beautiful small copper (Lycaena phlaeas) on common heather/ ling (Calluna vulgaris) last month.
We still see them and other butterfly species around. And we still have summer with around 20 degrees every day!
It's so wonderful that autumn hasn't taken hold yet, and people still spend time on our beaches and in kayaks and small boats. I've spent much time on the terrace myself, and enjoyed the sight of people enjoying the sea and nature on our island.
We must remember to enjoy every day now, since I guess the autumn storms suddenly are here.
Have a nice weekend!

A small copper (Lycaena phlaeas) on what I guess is an autumn hawkbit (Scorzoneroides autumnalis), by the beach on the first day of this week.
I just had to post one more from that lovely day, to dream away from today's bad weather.

Even though some of them are worn now, there are still many butterflies around on our island.
I met these small coppers (Lycaena phlaeas) on a European goldenrod (Solidago virgaurea), in the lovely late summer sunshine at the beach two days ago. Today the weather is just the same after a rainy day yesterday, so I'll go out to enjoy it now.
