With Colas Rail having won the RHTT circuit in East Yorkshire (which requires them to use their class 37 locomotives) means they have had to hire in a few extra for IM work. HNRC's 37425 is seen at Bere Alston before heading up to Gunnislake.
This southbound run was booked to go via Gunnislake and St Ives but having been delayed at Hemerdon (signal failure) and St Budeaux Junction (line block on Tamar Valley line whilst PWay staff undertook a job), the St Ives section was cancelled.

The guard and conductor of GWR Class 150 DMU 150243 wait for the driver to change ends at Bere Alston Station on the 17:33 Gunnislake to Plymouth.
The Tamar Valley line is quite busy and a separate conductor is carried to issue tickets.
The guard is responsible for operating the ground frame which gives access from the former Southern Railway mainline at Bere Alston where the train reverses to the Gunnislake Branch.

Bere Alston Station junction for the Gunnislake (Callington) Branch looking towards Plymouth. In recent years the signal box has been restored to Southern Railway colours and is now in non railway use. The waiting shelter on the island platform has also been refurbished and the roof repaired, though the foot bridge steps have long been removed. It is hoped that one day trains will run north again to at least Tavistock. It has been a proposal for over a decade now.
