Evan Hart, Earth Science professor at Tennessee Tech University, reported coordinates to me for an undescribed "boil" feature at 36.274334, -85.564715, just west of Blackburn Fork Road. Upon inspection I agreed that it was a undescribed spring.
"Boil" is a local term for upwelling water which appears to boil. In fact, this spring water is quite chilly at around 55°F (12.8°C).
