Sir Archibald Sinclair putting on a bit of show

A shot that almost sparked an international row, with the long lenses from the east wanting to be further away than the locals... Rebuilt "Battle of Britain" 34059 "Sir Archibald Sinclair" drifts past Holywell on the Bluebell Railway.

Locomotive: Rebuilt Bulleid Battle of Britain Class 4-6-2 34059 "Sir Archibald Sinclair".

Location: Holywell, Keysford Lane, near Horsted Keynes, West Sussex.

On a recent visit to Corfe Castle, I wanted to try and get the classic view of a Bulleid Pacific leaving Corfe Castle station with the castle ruins in the background.

As you can see, a tree now obscures the main ruin - and just to add insult to injury, the Bulleid's excellent display of smoke didn't help :-)
