Directors of the Capitol Land and Development Company are being killed. They have the tender for the Cupid project, an underground government headquarters in the event of a nuclear war. Clues such as a red nose and a giant footprint lead the Avengers to a home for retired clowns, irate that the project will flatten a sainted variety theatre and with an agenda of their own.

The side of Kankakee, Beaverville & Southern plow T-340, rebuilt by TP&W from RS11 #402. It didn't get much service, and I believe has last ran in a 2011 blizzard. It sits on a siding in Beaverville, waiting for something to happen. Something good I hope!
…Jimi worked at my far-off end of town mostly night, sometimes he came in for a cup of (very strong) Coffee if he saw that my lights were on, and they often were since at that time I preferred to do creative stuff in the middle of the howling hours, once he had a camera with him, and here you have me in my bed with a really odd haircut and no eyebrows…
