...into the setting sun and Nashipai (2nd from right) with her 4 teenagers, now 1 1/2 years old, disappear into the bushes.
This great cheetah mother has actually managed to raise her four offspring without any losses.
In the next few days, the teeangers will be separated from their mother and will have to fend for themselves. The normal course of life.
And the mother....she is pregnant again!

This little 3-month-old leopard cub had already learned so much from his mother that he knew what to do when a lioness entered the leopard hide.
While the mother lured the lioness away, this cute little fellow hid in the top of a tree and didn't move for hours before the mother returned.
A scene that will stay with me forever.

Greater Blue Eared Starling (Choucadors à Oreillons Bleus) standing on a tree branch by the campsite in Torra Conservancy. The starlings were not very shy, they came regularly to check on us and to find any opportunities of getting free food. The blue shading of the birds' feathers gives incredible colors in the light of the morning sun.
This beautiful white-rumped singing hawk can only be found in Africa. During the mating season, it likes to sit on the top of a tree and let out an extremely melodic whistle.

The Pink-backed Pelican (Pelecanus rufescens) is one of the smaller of the eight pelican species.
It is a resident breeder in eastern Africa, Madagascar and south-western Arabia in swamps and shallow lakes. The nest is a large heap of sticks, into which two to three large white eggs are laid.
This is a small pelican, but the wingspan is still around 2.4 m, with an average weight of 5.5 kg. It is much smaller and duller than the Great White Pelican (wingspan 2.8 m, weight 10 kg).
The plumage is grey and white, with a pink back. The top of the bill is yellow and the pouch is usually greyish. Breeding adults have long feather plumes on the head.
Food is usually fish and amphibians, occasionally supplemented with fruit, and is usually obtained by fishing in groups.

...or just playing?
In every zebra herd, there are always scuffles between stallions.
And it's probably always the same topics.
