A tribute to Aung San Suu Kyi " the Lady of Rangoon " ,and to the Burmese People
~She is in Paris for 3 days~
Aung San Suu Kyi was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1991
In awarding the Nobel Peace Prize for 1991 to Aung San Suu Kyi, the Norwegian Nobel Committee wishes to honour this woman for her unflagging efforts and to show its support for the many people throughout the world who are striving to attain democracy, human rights and ethnic conciliation by peaceful means.
On 16 June 2012, Aung San Suu Kyi was finally able to deliver her Nobel acceptance speech at Oslo's City Hall, two decades after being awarded the peace prize
She is a true inspiring leader who has sacrificed her personal life for the sake of her country, and has never given up fighting for her people despite very harsh times.
