Tunnels Beach on the island of Kauai, Hawaii

Kauai is nearly ringed by stunning, often uncrowded beaches. They offer a range of experiences, from leisurely strolls and sunset watching to more adventurous activities like hiking or snorkeling. Tunnels Beach (Makua) is the ultimate snorkeling and scuba divers beach.

Parakeets flying over the house in Kauai.

Rose-ringed parakeets, also known as Indian ringneck parakeets, are a non-native bird species that have established large populations on the Hawaiian island of Kauai, particularly in lowland areas. They were introduced to the island in the late 1960s and have since become a significant invasive species, posing threats to agriculture and native ecosystems.

The Na Pali Coast . . .

One of the first views of the Na Pali coastline from our catamaran cruise.

It's hard to convey the height and size of the cliffs without something to provide a sense of scale. On the left side of the image is a white 65 ft catamaran with a 90 ft mast to provide that sense of scale.
