It’s time to devour all the leftover Christmas food! In contrast to the previously posted warmer-toned Christmas photographs, this photo aims to capture a Nordic/Northern Europe aesthetic. It features a birch wood background, birch candlesticks, evergreens, mince pies and a Stollen.

Christmas Day at our AirBnb in Canterbury, Kent.
Home made mince pies in an opulent setting. A more symmetrical shot than I usually take — it's interesting to play with where things are symmetrical and where the symmetry is deliberately broken to make the composition interesting.
Preparing for Santa's arrival - mince pie, milk and Rudolph's carrot
this is 4th week in a row eating Sunday dinner at the cottage. I am not sure how many weeks we have to do before we call it a modern age tradition.
I made mince (ground beef with onions and carrots in a rich gravey) and a big pot of mashed potatoes. Only 5 of us there today so lots left over and I have now made a shepherd's pie from that.
It was blowing a gale outside the cottage and the roof was moving a bit but cozy inside with the big fire.
Something a bit different for this years 'Christmas Card!'
