As I had to visit my Bank branch in town this day , I made the journey worthwhile by having Breakfast at my local Wetherspoons .
From their Breakfast I choose their "Traditional Breakfast . Consisting of a Fried Egg , Two Bacon Rashers , a Sausage , Two Hash Browns and Baked Beans , with an extra slice of Black Pudding .

After my appointment at the Doctor’s Surgery , it was a visit to Pop In Cafe for Breakfast .
Two fried eggs , two sausages , two bacon rashers , mushrooms , fried tomatoes and a couple of Hash Browns .

For Our Sunday Dinner , we visited Pop In Cafe in Bishops Stortford .
My choice from their Menu was Liver , Bacon , Onions , a fried Egg and chips . Just creeping into the top right hand corner is the small jug of Gravy . I declined the menu choice of Peas .

After my Doctor’s Appointment it was time for Breakfast . Not feeling greatly hungry , a visit to Pop In Cafe for one of their “lighter” breakfasts .
Sausage , two Bacon Rashers , a Fried Egg , Bubble Squeak , two Black Pudding Slices , and half a large tomato . With one slice of Bread & Butter and a Mug of Coffee .

THE WHEATSHEAF

The Wheatsheaf closed it's doors on 22nd June 2022 due to the retirement of the landlord. Having been on the market trying to attract a new tenant without any success the owners decided to sell the Grade II listed building for development.
As of February 2025, plans have been passed to convert the Wheatsheaf pub into two three-bedroom homes and to demolish the rear extension, which includes the old skittle alley, and other outbuildings to create space to build another four three-bedroom and one two-bedroom homes.
Time will tell if the sign will remain as a nod to it's former life

For the first time in over Ten years , I decided to to cook a home made Toad in the Hole for our dinner .
The Sausages were from a Butcher , not a supermarket . The Batter was made with just Flour , three eggs , and milk . To which I added salt and pepper with some chopped onion when I poured it over the sausages, that I had previously cooked for 10 minutes, then 20 more in the oven after the pour .
We both thought it turned out rather well .

For my dinner this day , it was a Steak & Peppercorn sauce Pie . Which I get "mail order" from a butcher in Stirling , Scotland . I served it to my self with some tender stem Broccoli and some French Beans and a few skinny chips
