An Oriental poppy (Papaver orientale) from my parents' garden last weekend. I just love walking around noticing all the small miracles in their huge garden ♥
Notice the bokeh hearts from the flowers in the background ♥
The Oriental poppy originates from northern Iran, Armenia, northeastern Turkey and the Caucasus. It came to Europe in the early 18th century. It is not cultivated today, but a number of hybrids are cultivated and in trade.
