I would love to know how and why .....

These formations got here in these rocks. I know they may be boring you but I have a 'thing' about three's. You may have noticed that by now and have been fully aware that I simply could not do any other without a sort of uncomfortable itch in my brain. Anyway there may be more people than myself who finds rock formations and patterns interesting. If not, tomorrow I shall possibly go back on the streets again ; The streets of St Ives that is....

"Rainbows in oil"

Oil floating on water makes for a very interesting image, I was very pleased with the result, it was my first attempt at this type of macro photography.
Although I did try many methods, and took 60 plus macro images to arrive with this one, I really enjoyed trying something different, although getting so close to water with a camera isn't without its own risks.

This image was created for the Macro Mondays group ....
The topic this week is Oil on Water.
HMM! Everyone .... Love & Peace.

Project 365 #61: 020314 Vanishing Point

I went out to get some supplies for pancake day, and as well as getting flour, eggs and milk I decided to pick up a cheap frying pan.

Cheap ones tend to work better for me for pancakes as they're thinner, and because they're new the non stick is fabulous.

On the base it had this pattern which does amazing things in the light, and which will be destroyed the first time the pan gets used.

Surprisingly it's not concentric circles but one fabulous continuous spiral like the groove on a record.

Pink Gold Crystal Bokeh

Being a little creative with these beautiful pink daisies. When I put them up against the light, I
noticed they had a beautiful cross/hatch pattern on each petal. Isn't it lovely?

Pretty Markings on the Floor

On the way back from Iceland via the Scenic Route this morning (It was cold and there were no crowds to cheer us on) I noticed that there are now some pretty markings on the surface of the Saint George's Road/Saint Paul's Road crossroads ~ soon to become the Saint Paul's Road/Saint George's Road Roundabout.

Perhaps we're going to get a proper bus service back in the foreseeable future!
