Meadow Gold District

The back end of a beautifully restored 1936 Ford, proudly showing its classic Oklahoma license plate, captured at the Meadow Gold District Trunk or Treat on October 26, 2024. The deep shine of the black paint and chrome detailing reflect the care put into this vintage car. Taken with expired Fuji Sensia 100 film using a Nikon FG-20, this shot highlights the timeless elegance of classic cars in Tulsa’s historic district.

1954 Nash Metropolitan Convertible.

Taken during a car show sponsored by the Hilltoppers Car Club and held at the Chesterwood Village Retierment Community in the West Chester suburb of Cincinnati, Ohio.

Over the years I've seen this car multiple times, but never got a decent shot of it. I like this shot, but would have asked the owner to remove the signs in the windshield if I could have found him. As you can see, it is in mint condition with a very nice white interior.

Manchester's finest - 1923 Crossley Motors 20/70 Tourer EE 4255 : Otley, West Yorkshire, 16 August 2021

Just shy of being a century old this being a Crossley 20/70 of 1923 with Crossley bodywork and apparently the only surviving example of its kind. Constructed for Alderman King of Grimsby it was found in a builders yard in 1957 and subsequently restored.

Crossley Motors Ltd was a spin off from the Manchester based Crossley Brothers engineering company who had moved into stationary engine construction before building their first car in 1903. By 1906 it had become a separate company and in time moved into commercial vehicle manufacturing, notably motor buses. The manufacturing of the former survived car construction that ceased in 1936. In post-war years the company was sold to AEC and production of Crossley vehicles was wound down, the Manchester works closing in 1958.

Ford Popular c1960 by chericbaker

Ford Popular c1960

Wow! I cannot imagine wanting to spend a load of money on something so small and unreliable and crude. But it is clearly a real attraction for some people and does look rather good in a retro sort of way. I used to, in my late teenage years, drive my dad's ancient 1951 Hillman Californian around the Zagros Mountains in S Iran and quickly learned that the stick shift fell out of 3rd gear if you took your foot off the accelerator going round a bend. After an early girlfriend dumped me I went far too fast round a tight bend and did a 360 degree spin, stopping just short of the edge, with a long, steep drop to the valley below. Sliding doors?

2021 - Vancouver - 1931 Studebaker President by Stand by Ukraine

2021 - Vancouver - 1931 Studebaker President

Parked in a residential driveway on Dyke Road in Steveston I spotted this classic Studebaker coupe.

I think it might be a 1931 President four seasons roadster or Commander model but not sure. Anyone know?

The characteristic 1931 hood ornament is not present but the vertical chrome radiator element is.

The President was built between 1928 & 1933.

The Commander in this style was built between 1927 & 1931.

Most Studebaker cars were assembld in South Bend, Indiana and some in Walkerville, Ontario.
