Dyrhólaey is a promontory close to Vík in the south east of Iceland. Once an island this peninsula has interesting sea stacks and arches as well as a lighthouse. The views on clear days stretch into the distance in every direction, puffins and eider ducks make the cliffs their home and it is possible to explore the beach.
