Parked at Dunstall Park (Wolverhampton Racecourse), two Scammells, a Foden and an ERF of Circus Fantasia.
Born the same year as me (!) GXV372 was part of the Carters fleet until disposed of a few years ago. I forgot to note the registration of the later Highwayman tractor it was sharing the low-loader with.
From one of those boxes on the floor .
No load to go with this which should consist of containers which are covered by 'plastic' tarpaulins branded MW [ several other issues are available ] but it is unusual to see a playworn item still with its jib and hook in situ.
And it was a Scammell unit so I couldn't leave it !

This 1979 Scammell Crusader was seen in its owner's yard in Leith, Edinburgh. Alexander Latto has operated this ex-army wrecker for many years, but recently it seems to have been sitting unused in the company's premises, marked as SORN (Statutory Off Road Notification). However, since it was last photographed out on the roads, various work such as repairing rusted panels has been carried out, as well as the front bumper and wing pieces being repainted blue. It's possible that the nearing fifty year old Scammell will return to service in the near future.
