Today is my husband's birthday and instead of the four of us going out for supper, I picked up Thai food at a great local restaurant and also a cake at the grocery store. I would have preferred to bake my own cake but didn't have time. Dinner was great and the four of us finished off the evening with a nice walk together.
I hope everyone had a great day and thanks so much for your visit!
This Idas blue (Plebejus idas) which I found in the Paradiset Nature Reserve south of Stockholm, Sweden is so worn it was a bit difficult to identify.
Even so, the way the blue scales look sprinkled on it is absolutely gorgeous to me.

Rain and gentle wind is not for everyone. But last night's sprinkles and the larger and more fully developed aspen leaves brought me peace in these tumultuous times.
No need to comment. I will have one of these printed large to affix to my bathroom mirror for the forest fire season(s).
*The pink/red hues come from new leaves on the maple trees.
"Ma'am? Ma'am?!"
I turned around to see a little bear who looked like he had been sprinkled with . . . sprinkles!
"Yes, Little One? May I help you?"
"I have lost my brother. My 14 other siblings and I went outside to play for a moment and he has gone! He was splotchy pink with pink plaid shorts. I am worried about him . . . "
"OH! Indeed I HAVE seen your brother! He was looking for you and you many siblings!! There is a lovely family waiting out front who came in search of a big bear family, so I think you are in luck! Go and call the others and I will show you where they are!!"
Happy Teddy Bear Tuesday!
(This little bear was one of about 16 that were at auction a couple of weeks ago. One sibling was pink with pink plaid shorts, whom I got a photo of, too! I was SO happy that a nice family took them ALL home with them!)
