Vintage image of the iconic illuminated sign for Kentile Floors that once loomed for 65 years, atop a warehouse, over Second Avenue, and Ninth Street, in Brooklyn NY. This image was probably taken from where the Gowanus and Prospect Expressway meet. Kentile Floors filed for bankruptcy in the 1990s and subsequently went out of business. The sign was removed for roof repairs to the warehouse in 2014. It’s always a thrill when it’s from Vinnie DeVille!
