I made this photo of a side fence of a corner house as I was walking to an appointment in my San Francisco neighborhood in early August 2024. Guess the added pointed iron bar extension makes all the backyards of neighboring homes a bit safer also. I captured this image with Fence Friday in mind. Shot using my Canon Powershot SX50 that I carry with me, even when going to appointments.

When I finally made it down to the festival, I saw all this high fencing with olive drab covering. There was no admission, but there were long lines of people being carded (21 years or older only), and plenty of metal detectors on hand to be sure no weapons were being smuggled in. With all that, plus the high prices for drinks (cash only, so I would have had to stop at my bank's ATM machine to take money out), I decided it wasn't worth it. I had a nice trip downtown and went back Grand Park for a while. But to spend money on overpriced drinks and then stand around among strangers while loud music was played was not my idea of having a good time.

Maybe a tad bit different for me, but what can I say. I see things. I hear songs all the time. It is all in how you look at things in life.
