EP-SHK Boeing B707-3J9C Saha Air
Photographed after landing at Tehran when taxying to our stand right beside this beauty, arriving from Kerman aboard Mahan Air TU-154M EP-MHB.
Ex IRIAF 5-8312 - to Saha Air in 1991. Back to the IRIAF in December 2015, and in 2016 re-registered as EP-CPP.
Written off during landing at Fath Air Base (longest runway only about 1300m), when mistaking Fath with Payam which is about 25km away. Poor weather conditions were also reported. The flight came from Bishkek (Kyrgistan) with a load of meat. Fifteen of the sixteen crew(!) on board were killed; one crew member survived, but was seriously injured.
The aircraft was the last "civil" Boeing 707 in operation.
