Gordy, I kept thinking of you with every click of my shutter on this rampage. We were on our way home from Inland Empire PSA Workshop taking back roads and stumbled upon this ancient graveyard for old trucks. They were parked in rows in a vacant lot and they were the most beautiful colors. Exterior shots will be following shortly. Amazing find. Massively fun shooting. I would shoot one and think, as I was looking through my camera, "This one is beautiful. This one is my favorite." Then I would turn to the next one and I would think, "This one is beautiful. This one is my favorite." You would have been in truck heaven. Wish we had had you along. We would have gladly shared!
Long ago there was a Royal Blue Grocery in Piketon, Ohio, I've been told. I passed the sign yesterday when the sun made the letters stand out. Sometimes when I pass the shed on Smokey Hollow Road the letters are so rusty as to be unreadable. It all depends on the light.
I wonder whether anyone remembers the Royal Blue stores?

From my archives of two years ago, this galvanized metal fencing is weathering and eroding in a most beautiful way. This was seen near the Tucson Convention Center, taken on a gray afternoon a few blocks off where we parked. Mark will remember this fence well as he and I had a good time working with all the abstract wonders here just capturing a bit at a time.

Found this old piece of shit building while walking to my favourite place to eat in Calgary: Tubby Dog!
Either Calgary needs to clean up it's act, or I need to start eating in nicer neighbourhoods :)
