The W123/C123/T123 series was designed by Bruno Sacco (Udine, It., 1933-2024). He restyled the W114/W115 series which was designed by Paul Bracq (Bordeaux, 1933), and was advised by Friedrich Geiger (Süssen, D., 1907-1996).
The W123 estate followed in April 1978.
Minor restyle and technical updates followed after August 1979 and after September 1982.
1997 cc L4 petrol engine.
Performance: 109 bhp.
