A grain mill was erected in 1860 on the site of the present Museum Küppersmühle by industrialist Wilhelm Vedder, one of the founding fathers of Duisburg’s Inner Harbour. The mill closed down in 1972.
The conversion of the grain mill into the Küppersmühle Museum was completed in 1999.

"Watch your Step" markings on the pavement in front of the main entrance for L.C. King Manufacturing, a clothing manufacturer in Bristol, Tennessee. The sign felt like too little too late, as I only noticed this warning on the ground after I had already tripped on their step. A sign higher up, on the door or the window, would be far more helpful. Even more helpful would be to eliminate that step altogether and make it slope up to the entrance instead of having that tiny step.

Along one of the trails surrounding the lake at the arboretum there were lots of these wildflowers growing.
I had to be careful where I stepped as parts of the trail were very overgrown and looking very snaky, if you know what I mean. And after a close encounter with the eight-legged kind, I had to keep watch for those things, too.
So, it was nice to see these little wildflowers growing here and there, but alas I was reluctant to get many closeups, if you know what I mean.
