Here was the "Costa Azul Suites Virginia Beach" hotel. According to city property records at propertysearch.virginiabeach.gov, the building was built in 1972. According to Google Streetview, it was formerly a Super 8 motel; see it here in 2007. Also according to Streetview, the hotel was remodeled circa 2011 and this wall was resurfaced in buff-colored EIFS (I think), at which time it was also rebranded a "Clarion Inn & Suites." Sometime between 2019 and 2022, the wall was painted light bluish gray and the hotel was again rebranded the Costa Azul Suites. Sometime prior to January 2025, it was rebranded the "Garner, an IHG Hotel."
What a boring history!
