The side of the building is a vast blank wall of beige siding, affixed to cover the wound that was left behind when the adjoining building was demolished.

Take note here of the resemblance and complementarity between the beige siding and the beige awning, and carry it with you as a memory of a phenomenon worth noting, wherever it occurs.

According to Fulton County property records at qpublic.schneidercorp.com, the building was built in 1904. It was originally the Wauseon National Bank: Here is an old picture of it, and here is a depiction of the building on an insurance map from 1905, at which time its address was 328 Fulton St.

I like the stone veneer but I wish there were more of it, wrapping around the corner to cover the wall of concrete blocks at the left, and extending upward several stories into the sky.

This is the best picture I was able to get as my camera decided to spaz out and my other shots are blurry and out of focus.
