Late and non-exciting

On Thursday 6/2/2025, a late 4SA8 (indian pacific) is seen at Dry Creek (Adelaide) with bog-standard nr25-nr27 in charge.

Same same power

On Sunday 14/7/2024, 1AD8 (The Ghan) is seen approaching the expressway overpass at Bolivar (SA) with nr34-nr91 in charge. Since December 2012, twin nr's have been the norm on this service after the AN class were banned from the Darwin line for some stupid reason.

Cat out of the bag

On Tuesday 12/11/2024, 7PM5 (pacific national intermodal) is seen at Millswood (Adelaide) with nr109-nr85-G538 in charge. I was going to go all of 2024 without aiming a camera at a bog-standard nr leading any train but didn't.

Should have the v lead

On Saturday 28/12/2024, 7AD1 (Aurizon intermodal) is seen on the approach to Two Wells (SA) with gwa007-v544 in charge. Nice if they could’ve had the one-off loco on the front.

Standard 6DA2

On Sunday 8/12/2024, 6DA2 (Aurizon intermodal) is seen approaching the former Bolivar road crossing in Salisbury North (Adelaide) with the bog-standard gwa010-CLF5 in charge. Just another day of boredom in this dismal state…

Same same but (slightly) different

On Saturday 30/11/2024, 7AD1 (Aurizon intermodal) is seen approaching Helps road (Direk) with gwa001-fq02-901 in charge. 901 was being moved to Spencer Junction for forwarding to Whyalla. This is one train that is a clear example of the one dimensional-ism on show by lolrizon.

Week of dominance

On Sunday 21/7/2024, 1401s (empty lolrizon grain to Crystal Brook grainflow loop) is seen at Two Wells (SA) with cm3315-CLF5 in charge. This is the 6th consecutive grain train to have run to one of the grainflow sites (CB or Mallala) with the exact same pairing in the last week, pathetic rostering!!!

Banned Butterbox

On Sunday 24/3/2024, a very overpowered 1513s (empty Aurizon grain to Gladstone) is seen approaching Gawler River (SA) with gwu013-alf24-alf19 in charge. On this day alf24 (which I don’t think has even led since its recent overhaul was finished by September 2023) was under test, probably should’ve led to give it a real test.

On Saturday 16/3/2024, an overpowered 7ad1 (Aurizon intermodal) is seen approaching Heaslip road, Direk (Adelaide) with gwa008-alf23-CLF6 in charge.

On Friday 29/12/2023, 6AB6 (pacific national intermodal) is seen approaching King road, Bolivar (Adelaide) with standard and rusty nr6-nr16 in charge.

Trying a different spot

On Saturday 23/12/2023, an overpowered 7AD1 (Aurizon intermodal) is seen at Calomba (SA) with gwa007-alf22-fq01 in charge. It’s a pity this train has a cheap-horned downer leading 100% of the time

Just another fugly combo

On Sunday 17/12/2023, 1451s (empty Aurizon grain to Bowmans) is seen approaching Chidda station (Adelaide) with stock standard alf19-cm3306 in charge. Why lolrizon continue to run this combo is beyond me.

On Friday 15/12/2023, 6AB6 (pacific national intermodal) is seen approaching Gawler River road (SA) with standard nr27-nr28 (both wearing the IP Mk V livery) in charge.

Another tardy eagle

On Thursday 14/12/2023, a late-running 4SA8 (indian pacific ex Bathurst to Adelaide) is seen approaching Old Dublin road, Mallala (SA) with standard nr25-nr86 in charge.

A train controllers strike in NSW caused the ip to terminate at Bathurst and run about 6 hours late.

On Saturday 2/12/2023, a slightly late 7AD1 (Aurizon intermodal) is seen passing the grain loader at Bowmans (SA) with gwa005-CLP17 in charge.

Just another standard 7AD1

On Saturday 18/11/2023, 7AD1 (Aurizon intermodal) is seen approaching the former Moloney road crossing near Virginia (SA) with gwa005-CLP14–CLP17-CLF5 in charge, plus 6051 further back. Just another classic example of death, taxes and a bland gwa leading this service all the time.

Not worth remembering

On Saturday 11/11/2023 (Remembrance Day), 1451s (empty aurizon grain to Bowmans) is seen passing the SCT Penfield depot (Adelaide) with the bland muted duo of gwa001-cm3314 in charge.

Since late October, nearly all aurizon export grain combos in SA have had at least one leased cm, whether it’ll be a permanent thing is unknown (hope not).

Off to Bathurst

On Tuesday 31/10/2023, a 5-hour late indian pacific is seen approaching Angle Vale road, Virginia (SA) with nr28-G530 in charge.

A medical emergency in the desert on the Perth-Adelaide leg resulted in the delay. 3AS8 ended up terminating in Bathurst (NSW) as a result.
