► █░▓ LOOKING FOR A PROMINENT MARK for my faraway best man, to photograph for him close to a hamlet named after his family, I found this pond. It seemed obvious that the hamlet was named after this pond, so I found nothing more natural than to name this pond after the hamlet :))
By the way, it is surprising to see such a mass of water in an arid region totally void of water...

The cameraphone capture edited in Snapseed app. The version I made using Flickr Magic and further edit online, was larger than life and "swallowed" the colorful red plant, so I stayed put with the Snapseed only version.


ꒌ Језеро код Крнета ;) Ирис је навела добре разлоге у прилог ове првобитне дораде. Слика губи фокус кад је све превише светло на другој, живахних боја и уједначених тонова. Покушао сам на тој другој да смањим ефекат "Flickr Magic" даљом дорадом на Фликру и постигнем неки компромис, али не вреди. Није успело.

'Крнете код Језера' је засеок у Буковици кад се крене из Кистања ка Равним Котарима. Ако је засеок могао да добије име по овом језерцету, онда може и језерце по засеоку ;)

A rather cloudy early afternoon sky casts a bluish tint over the rails, as if it were blue hour - something I didn't want to change in post. Open vistas almost always and everywhere. Here view in direction to Knin/Bosnia. Dalmatia and especially its hinterland are a wonder in which something went awry 82 years ago. Or actually much before that, as history of this area attests.

► █░▓ THIS IS A CAR that will get you anywhere. It epitomizes all what I long from an automobile – the high tech and the simplicity; the low costs and the reliability; the elegance and the unobtrusiveness; a 'hidden' huge cargo space in a shell that boasts fashion; and – last but not least – ergonomic subtlety, gentle feel and refined response of the commands rarely found. All seemingly irreconcilable opposites.

But the French designer has succeeded in it. This level of engineering sophistication with the present-day advancements in technology isn't that difficult to achieve at all. But weirdly, most makers choose not to.
In a way, I agree. The finesse is not for everybody.

—No wonder this vehicle got me to the very places I deem pinnacles of my wish list. The places that represent an end of the paved trajectory: the point where the real (unpaved) fun begins.

Bribir and Bribirska Glavica are one of such fantastic places where history is still alive and whispers in your ears, different ages magically overlap one another and events take strange unexpected turns every ones in a while. I had luck to be guest there for a short while and work with the locals, which is the best way to get to know them. This trip has reconciled my long craving to go to the place where I spent a crucial period of my youth. The years which turned out to be the watershed of my country's destiny too.
