Not so much Death on the Nile as "Dearth on the Danube".
Škoda-built tram 7425 traverses line 4 on Rázusovo nábrežie running alongside the Danube.
Looking now at the image, taken from the public walkway on the Nový Most ('New Bridge')*, I noticed straight away that there is a complete lack (or 'Dearth') of human presence, just the tram driver and the cyclist, no road traffic either.
Originally taken at about 16.30 on a nice June afternoon this scene would normally be filled with locals leaving work and tourists, particularly as at this point can be viewed the aforementioned bridge (also known as the 'UFO bridge for obvious reasons), the Castle and St Martin's Cathedral and is a mere stone's throw from the Old Town and it's many attractions.
A mystery indeed or just great timing on my part?, over to you Agatha.
(Dame) Agatha Christie was probably the most famous writer of crime-fiction, in fact the Guinness World Records lists Christie as the best-selling fiction writer of all time, her novels having sold more than two billion copies and she has been dubbed the "Queen of Crime". Many of Christie's stories featured her sleuthing creations Miss Marple and Hercule Poirot.
*The Most SNP ("Bridge of the Slovak National Uprising") to give it it's proper name, commonly referred to as Most Slovenského národného povstania but known to me as Nový Most and tourists as the 'UFO Bridge' was opened in 1972 and is one of five bridges connecting the heart of Bratislava with it's largest borough, Petržalka.
