A little treat for a dull afternoon.
I used this card to record the sequence of yarns used in knitting the arm of the "homebase green" Garter Marler Sweater so I'll be able to reproduce it for the other arm for symmetry.

I'm always surprised when I see a swallowtail in flight in October, though inevitably I do see a couple. (I'm not sure I've ever managed a photo.) In this case, I was checking the thistle on which I found a monarch earlier this week, hoping for another shot, and found a monarch and this swallowtail, and minutes later a sulphur too! It got nearly to 70 today, so I did expect a few butterflies, but this one was an unexpected treat.
Is this a hint to change my tires?
