Thanks to my dodgy appetite at the time, I had a very light lunch of a plate of garden salad in the Geographer Cafe on Jonker Walk, Malacca. The salad was fairly substantial and very good. And along with an ice cold beer that I had, was total respite from the harsh tropical heat and muggy weather outside. More notes about the legendary Geographer Cafe appeared earlier in this album. (see previous pictures). Jonker Walk is the Chinatown area in Malacca/ Melaka, Malaysia. This colourful and full of energy (especially at night) street starts from just across the Malacca River opposite to the Stadthuys museum on Dutch Square. When we went to Trumansburg, NY to the Farmer's Market last Wednesday I stopped at the Simply Red booth and got a lovely Falafel Salad. It was so good Thanks to Chef Samantha for preparing it for me.

But if this is meant to be an archive of sorts, then I suppose everything is on the table! Lettuce and kale from our garden (I didn’t have quite enough to fill it out, so added some spinach too), oven-roasted onion and carrots, radishes, red onion, avocado, and oven-roasted salmon. The dressing was fab: olive oil, dijon mustard, honey, garlic, lemon, salt, and pepper. Also added some sriracha on the side for a little kick! 🎶: “Stay” by Lisa Loeb
