Accidental Calligraphy

On a hoarding around a building site in Birmingham. A (warning?) sign, present when the plywood of the hoarding was painted, had subsequently fallen off, revealing the plain plywood and the (unsuccessful) adhesive. It reminded me of the red seals on ancient (and modern) Chinese drawings, paintings and prints, so the composition was made to emphasise this.
