The Flickr Hecetahead Image Generatr

I had seen a picture from this viewpoint and thought it was pretty cool. So, when I took a vacation to the Oregon coast I knew I had to find the trail and try to get the shot. I'm not sure it was perfectly done, but it's not the typical lighthouse shot.

We're back from our annual fall trip to the Oregon Coast, where we had lots of rain intersperced with patches of beautiful weather. The view from Heceta Head Lighthouse, Oregon.

The light of the Heceta Head Lighthouse is visible from 21 miles from land.
The 56 foot tower sits 206 feet above the Pacific Ocean along the Oregon coast.
Within five minutes of this capture the incoming fog completely obliterated the view.

Opened in 1894, the 56 foot tall lighthouse sits 204 feet above the Pacific Ocean.
