"Two NASA research rockets launched from Andøya Space on November 10, 2024, to study energy transfer between the lower and upper atmosphere. – The main scientific objective for VortEx 2 is to study how winds and energy from the lower parts of the atmosphere affect the upper parts, says Thomas Gansmoe, Director Sounding Rockets & Engineering Services at Andøya Space Sub-Orbital. -– The focus of the experiment is to figure out how gravity waves interact with each other, and how these interactions form vortices.

Hvilsager Kirke, Hvilsager Sogn, Sønderhald Herred i det tidligere Randers Amt.
Kirken ligger højt placeret i terrænet på kirkebakken. I 1600-tallet var tårnet højere, og fungerede som sømærke ved indsejlingen i det daværende Kolindsund. Kirken er oprindeligt en kvaderstensbygning, opført antagelig i 1100-tallet. Som den fremstår nu er den dog resultatet af en meget omfattende ombygning i 1772. I korets vægge, og i en mindre grad også skibets, ses de gamle kvadersten bevarede. Men ellers er byggematerialet røde teglsten.
