With the crew racing to beat the clock and get to at least the terminal, NS 369 sports a freshly repainted UP C44ACM #6486.

Furloughed in Jackson

NS 369 heads south for Macon through Flovilla. Leading is UP 1111, their "Powered by our People" specialty-painted engine meant to honor their employees. Just one thing, its poorly-timed release happened shortly after they announced their intentions to start using the PSR business model & right after they started making massive layoffs all to please Big Daddy Wall Street. If you ask me, "Powered by our Furlough" is a more appropriate name.

Also, to add insult to injury, the people on the long hood look like they belong in a Soviet Union-era propaganda poster about working hard for the "state" for the good the "collective." 7-4-22

Monster Manifest on the Mountain

With nearly 14200' of train to manage, the engineer had his hands full bringing the NS 369-10 down the southern slope of Braswell Mountain toward Dallas, Georgia. The four Union Pacific General Electric motors, two on the head end and two DP in the middle of the train, were working hard to hold the tonnage under the 25 miles per hour for the curve at McPherson.

Mad Man's & Broke Train

NS 369, lead by the freshly repainted Union Pacific 6496, glides down the main at Aragon and past Mad Man's Crossing to stop and let the G34 look at their DPU which was acting up.

Sadly, the DPU was locked and someone had broken the key off in the lock requiring a four our wait for mechanical department to come out, drill the lock and get the unit running again. This killed anymore chances for well lit shots of the train. Maybe next time.

Let's Try Again

After a user error at the 128.2 and having missed the train at Dallas by 2 mins or less, I'm set up for the NS 369 at Mableton as the UP 1111 leads the train around the corner and towards a crew change at Inman.
