A bad '06 of shabby postmodern architectural flourishes.

From 2006 comes a bad and silly beige cylinder at a five-over-one condobldg with downstairs urgentcare. Wow that stupid notch in the building's stupid tiara has a set of ornamental horizontal poles that cutely reference the apartment balconies' railings: so stupid!

Ridiculous oddball 1933 expression of neoclassical/neofederal architecture of Schenectady City Hall.

People say it looks "off somehow but I can't put my finger on why" and then you tell them it's from 1933 and they say "ah, that makes sense."

"So there is a mismatch between the building's architectural style(s) and the actual time period of its erection; and between its architectural style(s) and its shape and proportions," you say, and they say "ah, yes, yes."

I took this same photo a few years ago with a lesser camera. I have always liked it and today I went by and did a second shot. You know, because I love photography. :-)
