American pastime

I made this self portrait a while back after one of the countless school shooting here in the states. The guns and TV were dollhouse accessories that I photoshopped along with the self portrait and the tiny room. We had a scare last year when a substitute teacher at our high school accidentally activated the active shooter alarm. My wife teaches at the school and my two oldest were at that school while my youngest was next door at the junior high. It was one of the scariest moments of my life and I can’t imagine how my wife and kids were feeling, let alone any of the people unlucky enough to be present for an actual event. We will never change but will continue destroying ourselves to protect our toys.

Thanks, Poor Red State Voters, If Fewer Blue State Tax Dollars Go To Your Welfare Cheques & Checks - IMRAN™

I’m so thankful. Sure, the American electorate has basically voted in a known traitor, Putin puppet, serial adulterer, serial bankruptcies causer, vile rapist, convicted felon, charity thief, and worse… but, hey… Look at the bright side. The price of eggs should go down. We hope, right?
But, seriously… Let’s examine just one aspect of this election AND Darwin Awards winning crowd. The MAGA white nationalists probably think that the reduction in taxes and cuts in welfare services will hurt people they hate… blacks, minorities, Hispanics, blue states, etc.
But here’s a fun fact. Major segments of white welfare recipients are in the reddest states and will feel the cuts. The “bad” people in diverse blue states and educated well-paid professionals will need to subsidize their diversity-hating MAGA non-brethren less than before.
So, thank you, MAGA voters in the states below.
Here’s why. It's important to note that many red states receive more in federal funding than they contribute in taxes. This means that blue states, which typically contribute more in federal taxes, often subsidize red states. Majority of white MAGA voters may think cutting welfare hurts blacks, Hispanics, or minorities only. Obviously identifying red states with significant white populations living in poverty and dependent on welfare can be complex, … but some states consistently show higher rates of federal assistance. Here are a few notable examples.

1. Mississippi
- Poverty Rate: Mississippi has one of the highest poverty rates in the U.S., with a significant portion of its population relying on federal assistance.
- Demographics: A considerable number of white residents in Mississippi live below the poverty line, making the state heavily dependent on federal welfare programs.

2. West Virginia
- Poverty Rate: West Virginia also has high poverty levels, particularly in rural areas.
- Welfare Dependency: Many residents, including a significant number of white individuals, rely on programs like Medicaid and food assistance.

3. Kentucky
- Poverty Rate: Kentucky has a notable percentage of its population living in poverty, with many depending on federal aid.
- Demographics: The state has a diverse demographic, but a substantial number of white residents are among those receiving assistance.

4. Alabama
- Poverty Rate: Alabama ranks high in poverty rates, with many residents relying on welfare.
- Welfare Programs: Programs such as SNAP (food stamps) and Medicaid are crucial for many low-income families, including white households.

5. Arkansas
- Poverty Rate: Arkansas has a significant poverty rate, with many residents dependent on federal assistance.
- Demographics: A considerable portion of the population receiving welfare benefits is white.

So, thank you, thank you, thank you, all you MAGA voters for letting blue states people reduce subsidizing your food stamps and welfare cheques. Sorry if we don’t do welfare checks on y’all either.
You don’t believe in college education, medical science, environmental protection, or equal rights and justice for all. You post memes about Jesus & your guns protecting you, and not needing vaccinations because you have immune systems. I’m sure you’ll all be just fine in the next 4 years. Democracy and the future of our nation, those I’m not so sure about when Trump is done.

Sphere within a Sphere by Arnoldo Pomodoro, Vatican, Rome

Sphere within a Sphere by Arnoldo Pomodoro depicts two interlocked spheres. It is one in a series of similar works displayed across the world. The sculpture was designed for the Vatican and is also displayed in Dublin, Tel Aviv, and the Italian Parliament. The form depicts the globe of Earth itself. This complex work of art, composed of a sphere growing inside another sphere, can be read as a symbol of the emergence of a new world from the old.

Pomodoro’s works are notable for their use of geometric shapes that often relate to themes of self-destruction and recreation. Pomodoro has held exhibitions worldwide, including the 1988 Venice Biennale, and museums in Paris, Cairo, Cleveland, Copenhagen and more.

Pomodoro said about this piece, “[the sculpture] reflects and accommodates the environment with its own complex mix of imagery that can be seen as both humanistic and technology-oriented: a smooth exterior womb erupted by complex interior forms. Timely in its introduction, the sculpture is intended as a metaphor for the coming of a new millennium, a promise for the rebirth of a less troubled and destructive world.”

What is Depression? by mr880usa

What is Depression?

Depression and Disability
Depression is the leading cause of disability in the world. In the United States, close to 10% of adults struggle with depression.

But because it's a mental illness, it can be a lot harder to understand than, say, high cholesterol.

One major source of confusion is the difference between having depression and just feeling depressed. Almost everyone feels down from time to time.

Getting a bad grade, losing a job, having an argument, even a rainy day can bring on feelings of sadness.

Sometimes there's no trigger at all. It just pops up out of the blue. Then circumstances change, and those sad feelings disappear.
Clinical Depression
Clinical depression is different. It's a medical disorder, and it won't go away just because you want it to.

It lingers for at least two consecutive weeks and significantly interferes with one's ability to work, play, or love.

Depression can have a lot of different symptoms: a low mood, loss of interest in things you'd normally enjoy.

Changes in appetite, feeling worthless or excessively guilty, sleeping either too much or too little, poor concentration, restlessness or slowness, loss of energy, or recurrent thoughts of suicide.

If you have at least five of those symptoms, according to psychiatric guidelines, you qualify for a diagnosis of depression.

And it's not just behavioral symptoms. Depression has physical manifestations inside the brain.

Kiyosaki-Gaining Wealth and Success

Gaining Wealth and Success
This article deals with the importance of having good physical and emotional health, and financial literacy to achieve personal and financial success.

The article focuses on the concept called the cash flow quadrant, which details how wealth is created.

However, the main message of the article is about the importance of maintaining one's health, without which, financial success cannot be attained or enjoyed.
Work and Depression
Many people fall into depression because no matter how hard they work and no matter how much time they spend in the office, they are still far from being successful.

While many see their jobs as a means of finding personal expression and fulfillment, the majority of people define their success in terms of money.

They try to put up with the endless loads of work, impossible deadlines, and work pressures --- yet doing all these has not brought them closer to financial security.
Work and Health
To make matters worse, many successful executives and highly driven young professionals find they are sick and tired all the time.

The enormous toll on their health had made their job seem like a curse instead of a blessing.

It is no wonder that millions of dollars are spent on health care each year due to stress and other work-related anxieties.

The uncontrolled drive for success had brought not a few people to the emergency room or to the hospital to get both medical and psychiatric care.

Primal selfie scream of the pale Monster artist hiding in his Troglodyte cave

look at me I have never been this pale, I usually have an olive kind of complexion and my muscle fibers are waining by the day, I don´t complain since I get to do what I want, well, I am an art-addict so I would probably go on until my body atrophied in to a giant amoeba with a human brain floating around randomly on the floor doing my different art-choirs...
But one thing is good my teeth aren´t getting any more yellow, well last I was at the dentist, that is in Vienna (many years ago) they were gonna place a jacket on one of my rump-fangs so they wanted a match in color so he pulled up a dental color comparing sheet my teeth was the most yellow a humanoid could have, so the color was easily determined which was a waste of time and money since it has all ready fallen out!

Peace and Primal Screaming noise!
