Taken at the Armley Industrial Museum Leeds West Yorkshire.
It was built in 1891 by Shand Mason & Co London. It was used by the Gipton Fire Station Leeds. The "Double Vertical" was the most successful of its time. It could raise steam on its way to a fire and only needed two men to operate it. The engine's large wheels allowed it to be pulled at high speeds.
