NR's USP 5000-RT Ballast Regulator DR77903 carrying the nameplate 'Frank Jones' about to pass under Scratchbury Hill bridge with (clears throat), uh-hm, let's hope this is right, here goes, 09-3X-D-RT (wipes brow), phew, Tamper DR73115 for company, the Plasser & Theurer-supplied machines en-route from Rugby to Woking prior to (presumably) a ballast regulating and tamping type work thingy.

Surely the biggest Austrian export success story since Schwarzenegger, Vienna-based rail inspection, maintenance and track renewal machine manufacturer Plasser & Theurer produced their first machine in 1953, exporting their first machine to Great Britain in 1956. Their website proudly states that they currently have their machines at work on rail infrastructure in 110 countries around the world including such far-flung places as Iceland, Cyprus, Papua New Guinea and Bhutan.

Video: youtu.be/1H-vGs5zXBI
