Which is an Iron Age fort, on the mountain. So the policeman, deep into Indian territory by now, asked how that was spelt, and Daf Number One, had to spell the words out to the policeman... This sounds funny but it wasn't... No one laughed at this... we were afraid of the madman. We followed suit: number 3, 4, 6, 2 Tre Ceiri. The madman went away... But Dafydd number One, Maes Tryfan, taught me something... Stand your ground, trust your wits, trust your friends. The first sublime thing that Daf did was: lead, show the way, I am from Tre Ceiri, The Town of the Mighty, The Town of Giants. It was a password. The enemy does not understand us. You must stand with me now, or we all fall. And so he forced us to follow. But lying was easy to such a devil. Daf had revealed him as such.
Daf would have made a great General. I am glad no war disturbed him, from fast cars and women, he loved fast cars, and women.
