The Railroading Heritage of Midwest America recently held a night photo shoot event as a fundraiser for the continued restoration of UP 5511 and UP "Challenger" #3985.
On hand for the photo shoot were Jeddo Coal Co. #85, a little 0-4-0 tank engine, and the RRHMA's own UP 6936 "Centennial" diesel locomotive and recently restored ATSF B40-8W #537. The locomotives looked great under the lights on this crisp April evening.
In this scene viewed from the front of the engines (and with both sets of headlights dimmed again), UP 6936 and ATSF 537 pose side by side under full darkness, both looking splendid under the remote-controlled strobe lighting.

In April 2025, Canadian National completed its acquisition of Iowa Northern, and as a result, CN locomotives have been finding their way onto the once independent IANR lines.
Tonight, the reverse is true - IANR GP38-2s 4100 and 4101 hitch a ride on CN M338 from Waterloo, IA to Kirk Yard in Gary, IN, where they will be transferred to a local freight for transit to CN's shops in Homewood, IL.
Their disposition from there was unknown at the time of upload.
